One More Man in the Family

Yes, we are having another boy. I am pretty excited. When we saw the ultrasound, Noah and I said "woo hoo!" Kristi, however, said "boo hoo." She was pretty sad for a few days. But, she is okay with it now. We have a couple names that we are thinking about, but we aren't going to tell anyone. So there! I'll give you a hint, though - he won't be named after a city.

Ooh, I take that back. I just checked google maps, and my favorite name choice appears as a city in MN, NY, IN, and NM. Hmm... oh well - it's still my favorite.

I love my boys so much, and I have a really good time playing with them. I am very excited to have another boy. Kristi wasn't excited until last Thursday. We were on vacation in Mexico, and were talking with a couple from Idaho with 3 boys (oldest is on a mission in Paraguay right now). The mom said that she cried for three weeks when she found out that the third was going to be a boy. But, she told us that she wouldn't have it any other way. She has really enjoyed doing all of the boy things like snowboarding, wakeboarding, hiking, not going to dance recitals, etc. She said that it was really nice because she was always the princess in the house, and didn't have any competition. I laughed at that, but it was what made Kristi the most optimistic about having three boys. The reason being that she could actually raise gentlemen without a daughter. She really wanted a sister to soften up the boys so that they would treat women and girls appropriately and mind how they behaved around females. But, after talking with this lady in Mexico, Kristi realized that the boys can grow up being chivalrous and well-behaved - even if they didn't have a sister. So, she's excited now to raise three good boys that will treat her like a princess (and treat their future wives like princesses).

Congrates! I am so excited for you and your family of boys. It just means that Kristi gets more girls night outs with her girl friends and family and Jer cant complain. LOL. Good Luck.

What good advice! Matt came from a family of just boys(he and his brother). I know you were hoping for some pink, but Heavenly Father knows what He's doing. Plus, hasn't pink become quite "manly" for men to wear! At least that's what Matt tells me anyway when he wears his pink shirts! Congrats! What a lucky little boy to come to such a wonderful family! Take care, Angeline.

Hey I know how that is. We wanted a girl when Rainee came, and I love her very very much, but instead of making her brothers "softer" and more caring towards girls, right now it has just made her a tom boy. We tried with barbies and babies and she is in dance class, but she is still very very tomboyish and doesn't like to have her hair done. Smile, boys are a lot of fun and I enjoy their events and they do not like going to dance recitals and such.

Glad you guys made it home. We found one of Noah's socks in our laundry when we got home, so we'll be seeing you sometime soon!

Congrats! Kaycee sent me to your blog after I found out I'm expecting my third boy also. It's good to hear that story. I'm excited to do all the boy stuff but I hope that I can teach them respect for women like they need to have. My husband is a great example of that so I hope they got those strong genes. Good luck with things and have fun while they're young!!!

How exciting - I could have totally seen myself with a bunch of boys. They'll be one fun bunch.

That is a great way to think about things! With all the garbage in this world, just think about how YOU are shaping 3 young men to be good role models, and great 'Prince Charming's'! (Cheesy, I know, but really, it's a good thought!)

Don't worry - boys are awesome! And I never knew anything until the delivery table. Now it makes having daughters-in-law so much fun and granddaughters precious, too!
