I'm In A Rut

I have a hard time getting out of my bed in the morning. I'm kind of in this slump. My boys get up between 6:00 to 6:30, and I can't see why I need to get up that early. I let them what a cartoon or two before I finally talk myself into getting up. Yes, I do feel guilty for letting them watch so much T.V. However, this week I justified it because we turn off the dish T.V. on Saturday, so we have to take advantage of it while we still can.
I usually love the summer. I love to go to the park, work on the yard, go on walks, and take play-dates. But due to the cost of gas, I get out maybe 1/3 as much as I would usually. The heat is also a factor. It takes a lot out of ya. Mostly I blame my laziness. I could still get out without wasting gas, but I don't really. I need some motivation. I'm kind of in a rut I guess. I feel I haven't a whole lot to look forward to. Blogging is sometimes the highlight of my day, that and when Jer comes home. I did get to go grocery shopping yesterday. I took Jer and the boys with because I wasn't feeling up to the task on my own. I haven't the desire to plan out my weekly menu, so I went to menu4moms and just printed it out. It's a bit expensive, but your five meals are planned out along with a completed grocery list. I always have tons of leftovers too. It make life easier.
I'm not sure why I wrote this blog. It's a bit depressing. I would be grateful to anyone who could help me out here. Let me know how, or what you do if you ever get like this. Now you know why I've skipped out on blogging, and mostly done the movie trivia lately.

We go swimming on Wednesdays at 6:00p.m. Dad's are welcome, but Whit is always at work. We used to go to the city pool, but I heard some gruesome stuff so we go to the SUU pool. It costs $2.00. You should come. I get in a rut a lot too. I have recently found lots to fill my time, maybe too much, but you do what you have got to do. We should plan a playdate each week. If you have any ideas let me know. :)

Sorry your in a rut...I kind of feel like that too, but as soon as August hits we will be off and running with school, dance, swimming and anything else the girls can convince me to do with them. Hang in there, try and do something new with the boys and it dosent have to be expensive.

Come take care of Ron & Mary Beth with us!!!! You don't really have to, but I wouldn't turn you away if you really wanted to. I feel like this a lot lately - not because I don't have any motivation, but because I am too busy taking care of my family and Ron's parents to even think about doing anything fun w/ Liah or scheduling something fun for myself. We should just plan something and tell everyone else to schedule around it...

I feel your pain, I can barely get myself ready for the day. I love the menu4moms idea, I'm definitely going to have to give it a try. In my experience with being a teacher, I know that most Moms let their kids watch a lot more TV than that. So my advice is go ahead and let them do it :). Sorry, that probably doesn't help at all. I like to justify everything!

I had that rut problem in Washington A LOT. I got a bunch of friends together and we would schedule things together at least once a week with our kids. But we also had a "phone tree" we would get up and call each other and we had to be out of bed, dressed adn ready for the day by 8:00 and then we would call each other to verify it. Believe it or not it actually helped. Keep positive and try to do your hair and makeup every day, that helps (that advise if from Grandma Elder)

haha- my mom used to let me get up and watch tv in the mornings before they did- I turned out fine lol. I pretty much stay inside all day too- its hard to get motivated to go anywhere when it costs $10 just to drive across town

Nicole had her baby. He is 9lbs. 1 oz. and doesn't have a name yet. They did this with Talia. They have a hard time agreeing on "some" things. I am hoping to post pictures tonight. Love you tons Aunt Linda

Kristi, I'm doing the same thing! I can't wait until August when Braden goes back to school (isn't that awful!). It's just exhausting to take both kids anywhere, and when I try, they make me regret it! Chin up, and know that you're not alone.
